How Much Does Private Health Insurance in Mallorca Cost?
Premiums depend on your age, whether you want Spain-only or worldwide cover, your chosen excess, and whether you’re insuring just yourself or a family. As a rough guide: A single person in their mid-forties typically pays between €90 and €180 per month. A family of four can expect to pay between €280 and €450 per month

Do I still need Spanish health insurance if I have UK/EU cover?
If you’re registered as a resident in Spain, you’ll need your own local health insurance – either through the Spanish state system (Seguridad Social) or a private policy. A UK GHIC card or standard travel insurance is not enough for residents. We’ll help you work out the right solution for your situation.
What if I need treatment before my policy starts?
Spanish private insurers typically have a fixed start date and won’t cover anything that happens before that. If there’s a gap in your cover, we strongly recommend a short-term interim policy to bridge it. We can arrange this for you.
Can I leave the NHS or my home country's system and switch to Spanish cover?
In most cases, yes – especially if you’re making a permanent move and deregistering from your home country. The right approach depends on your employment status, age, and how long you plan to stay. We’ll give you clear, straightforward advice.
Will my pre-existing conditions be a problem?
