Is Third-Party Liability Insurance compulsory for boats in Spain?
Yes. For motorised boats, Third-Party Liability Insurance is a legal requirement in Spain (Royal Decree 607/1999). It covers injury to third parties and damage to their property caused by your vessel. Different rules may apply to sailing boats without an engine. What boat documents and licence do I need in Mallorca?
If a medical emergency occurs before your health insurance policy officially starts, we strongly recommend taking out temporary travel or short-term health insurance.
